Parliament House is the facility in Canberra, the capital of Australia, where the Parliament of Australia meet. The facility was designed by Mitchell/Giurgola Architects and was opened by Elizabeth II, Queen of Australia, on May 9, 1988. It was considered the most expensive building in the world during the time of its construction at more than A$1.1 billion.
